Just Like Me

Blue describes me,
My moods, my personality,
Blue is a colour that everyone likes,
Blue is cool,
Not too raging, not too bright,
Blue is focus, wisdom and concentration,
Blue moves like water,
You must allow it to flow through you,
Blue is stable,
Blue is pure,
Blue reflects me,

Blue is my guide,
My teacher and guru,
We are similar in ways and unique as well,
I am the student, blue is the teacher,
Blue is the planet, Blue are these skies,
Blue are the waves in the water,
Blue is the origin,
Blue is what manifests,
It brings the coolness that we all need,
It brings back the memories and the good old days,
It separates the stretched horizon over the hilltop,
Revealing the blue above and beyond,

Blue brings unity,
We bring about change,
We bring about the freshness,
The pure aura that spreads,
We indulge in the movement,
Movement as one,
One big family,
That lives on the planet...
That blue planet.

Urban Voices..?

My english teacher gave us an assignment to make a poetry collection of ten poems that we could relate to. He liked some of the poems that I wrote and suggested to send it in for publication in the Urban Voices 2010 edition. Urban Voices is a collection of literature and art from kids in school, it ranges from Grade 1 to all the way into the high school's Grade 12 students. If someone has an idea as to how I may be able to edit this poem, please read and comment on it.
